Deendayal Port Authority secured the second position overall in the 25th All India Major Port Cultural Competition at Paradip.
The group dance team secured the second position with a unique and thought-provoking performance. The theme depicted Lord Krishna as a guiding force in contemporary incarnations such as a doctor, scientist, dermatologist, and psychologist, symbolizing how the divine is guiding humanity through knowledge, healing, science, and mental well-being. The performance seamlessly blended spirituality with modern relevance, earning widespread acclaim. The performance beautifully blended spirituality and contemporary relevance.
The performers were Shrimati Divya as Krishna and Hetal as Radha, along with Mona, Archana, Roshni, Aditya, Sumit, Urvashi, Swati, Soni, Bhavesh, Kunal, Soni, Juhi, and Pearl.
This journey of inner discovery gives rise to sensitivity, pain, hope and expression, which was beautifully expressed through melody and emotion by the participants from left to right – Smt. Roshni Bhambi, Juhi Dadlani, Sona Barot, Pearl Uchwani, Mona Gajjar, Swati Kotadiya and Archanal Maheshwari. While the instrumental music was played by Shri Atish Janardhan and Shri Bhavesh Janardhan. These collective performances showcased the cultural richness, creativity and artistic excellence of the employees of Deendayal Port Authority, which strengthens the Port’s commitment to all-round development in addition to operational excellence.
The DPA Chairman, heartily congratulated all the participants for their dedication and bringing glory to the port on a prestigious national platform.
Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla, put up an outstanding and emotionally stirring performance in the 25th All India Major Ports Cultural Competition organized by Paradip Port Authority from 8th January to 11th January 2026 and proudly secured second position among major ports across the country.
Drama
The Light Music performance by DPA was presented through an emotional narrative that beautifully described the essence of life and human experiences. The song reflected a person’s journey in search of an unspoken melody from nature, seasons, memories, childhood and dreams, until they realize that true music resides in the soul. This inner journey of sensitivity, pain, hope and self-expression was exquisitely expressed through melody and emotion.

The DPA Drama Team bagged the second position, which deeply touched the audience and the jury with its powerful and emotionally engaging performance. The play titled “Aksha,” written and directed by Shri Hari S. Das, depicted intense human emotions, inner struggles, and social reflections with remarkable sensitivity and depth.
The captivating storyline and impressive acting left a lasting impression on the audience. Shri Deepak Rathod was declared the Best Actor for his outstanding and heartwarming portrayal,
which earned him much appreciation from both the jury and fellow participants.
The participants of the play were Shri Pramod, Deepak Rathod, Divya Nair, Hetal, Rajesh Singh, Brij Jhala, Imran Saicha, Haresh Shivnani. Music by: Virbhadra Jadeja, Lights by: Kanti Dangar, Set Design by: Janardhan, Set Coordination by: Netaji.
