District Outperforms Gujarat Board Average; 662 Students Secure A1 Grade
Kutch District has delivered a remarkable performance in the SSC examinations this year, recording an impressive 84.64% result, higher than the overall Gujarat Board average of 83.86%. The district surpassed the state average by 0.78%, marking one of its strongest academic performances in recent years.
According to the District Education Officer’s Office in Bhuj, a historic 662 students achieved the prestigious A1 grade, setting a new district record. Last year, 563 students had secured A1 grades, meaning the district witnessed an increase of 99 top-performing students this year. Another major highlight was the exceptional performance of schools across the district. A total of 112 schools achieved 100% results, earning the title of “Century Champions.” Among them, 46 are government schools, reflecting the growing strength of public education in the region. Additionally, 8 grant-in-aid schools also secured perfect results. Education officials noted that government and aided schools performed exceptionally well in both A1 grades and overall pass percentages. Out of the 662 A1-grade students, 249 students belonged to government and grant-in-aid schools, showcasing the rising standards of these institutions. The district has also shown dramatic improvement over the past few years. In 2022, Kutch recorded a result of only 61.28%. This year’s 84.64% represents a massive 23% increase, highlighting sustained academic progress.

Out of 17,662 successful students, nearly 10,618 students (60%) secured A and B grades
47 students from 28 government schools achieved A1 grades, considered a significant achievement for public education
District Education Officer Sanjay Parmar congratulated principals, teachers, students, and parents for the outstanding results. He especially praised students from rural government schools who excelled without private coaching support, relying mainly on classroom teaching and self-study. Officials also observed that the number of girls securing A1 grades was higher this year, signaling strong academic participation and achievement among female
students. The results have brought a wave of pride across Kutch, with educators describing the achievement as a symbol of disciplined teaching, consistent student effort, and the strengthening of rural education infrastructure.
