PROMOTING MENSTRUAL HEALTH, HYGINE & AWARENESS
The Inner Wheel Club of Gandhidham Infinity conducted an impactful Menstrual Health and Hygiene Awareness Programme for girls aged 10 to 14 years at Sindology School and Mount Carmel School. The initiative aimed to equip young adolescents with accurate knowledge, promote healthy hygiene practices, and break long-held myths surrounding menstruation.
A total of 300 students participated in the session, which was led through interactive discussions, demonstrations, and age-appropriate explanations of the menstrual cycle. Speakers emphasized the importance of personal hygiene, emotional well-being, and confidence during menstruation, encouraging girls to speak openly and without fear.
To reinforce learning, the club distributed informative comic books designed to explain menstrual health in an engaging and relatable format. Students responded enthusiastically, asking questions freely and expressing a clearer understanding of the topic by the end of the session.
The initiative is part of the club’s larger mission to reach 5,000 girls across the community, promoting menstrual awareness and contributing to better health outcomes. Teachers and parents appreciated the club’s efforts, describing the program as “timely,” “much-needed,” and “highly beneficial” for young girls.
With this session, the Inner Wheel Club of Gandhidham Infinity continues to strengthen its commitment to women’s health, empowerment, and community development under the project category “Reach Out for a Better World – Status of Women.”
